A kinder way to see the vet
At Paws at Home Vet Care, I believe vet visits shouldn’t be stressful for pets or their people.
I’m Liz, an experienced mobile veterinary surgeon providing compassionate, high-quality vet care in your own home. By removing the anxiety of travel and waiting rooms, pets are calmer, consultations are more relaxed, and decisions are made with care and confidence.
Whether it’s a routine health check, managing a new or ongoing condition, or supporting you through a peaceful goodbye when the time comes, my aim is always the same: to treat your pet like one of my own.

Care that puts pets – and people – first
As an independent, local small business, I have the freedom to deliver vet care the way I believe is best: with time, kindness, compassion, confidence and honesty.
Appointments are never rushed, explanations are clear, and pricing is transparent. My goal is to build long-term, trusting relationships and to feel like your familiar neighbourhood vet, just with wheels instead of a conventional building!
What our clients say
Posted on Google Lindsey BlazeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wow! What a wonderful vet Liz is. Not only is she incredibly kind, but she’s also extremely professional and knowledgeable. A few weeks ago, we thought we were going to lose our German Shepherd. Liz helped immediately with Bella’s pain management and even responded to my email over the weekend to offer support. Since then, she has completely turned things around with a comprehensive pain management plan for Bella’s osteoarthritis. Bella is now so much more comfortable and clearly feels at ease with Liz. We truly feel like we’ve struck gold in finding Liz, and we’ll never look elsewhere for Bella’s care or the care of any future pets. Thank you, Liz. 🪽🙏Posted on Google Nic NacTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Liz is absolutely amazing. She visited me at home today & we sat with my dog for an hour in the garden where my dog lays everyday, chatting about her condition. She explained so many different things in so much detail & was so caring & sensitive towards my dog. Even my current vets that I have used for 10 years said how lovely she was when she called for her history & they understood fully why I couldn't bring my dog into them anymore due to her age. They even said they wanted Liz's cards to recommend to pet owners that needed home visits. It costs no more for Liz to visit your home for a consultation & I cannot recommend her highly enough.Posted on Google Deb HinchliffeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Don’t hesitate to give Liz a call for your veterinary needs!!! She’s incredible…. So kind and compassionate. We were blessed to find Liz when sadly we had to put our gorgeous retriever to sleep after a sudden and rapid deterioration over a bank holiday weekend. She made such a difference to what was a very difficult situation! Thank you!Posted on Google Hannah WalkerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I asked Liz to come and vaccinate one of my cats at home. I’m arthritic - the cat is an athlete, a professional wrestler and half eel. She also reacts very badly to being in a basket, and is terrified for hours afterwards. Rather than leaving the cat unvaccinated and at risk, I asked Liz to come to my house and vaccinate the cat at home. Liz was extremely good with the cat; gained her trust and examined her, before giving the first injection. She was professional and very helpful. The total cost was more than reasonable. If you are unable to get your cat to a vet for essential vaccinations or treatment, Liz’s service is absolutely the answer. Why wouldn’t you want your cat to be treated at home??Posted on Google Amie RobertsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Liz is a godsend. Finally a vet that truly takes the time to listen to our (over anxious!) concerns. Liz gives such friendly, professional advice and support that is properly tailored to our cats. The fact that she comes to our home is amazing as our cats are not good travellers. She has also been super flexible with our schedules - I honestly couldn’t recommend her more.Posted on Google Luke OliverTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Liz was just amazing with my old boy Bouncer…. never seen him so calm…. lovely lady and top service. Will never use anyone else again now. They have been amazing with my rescue pup who is terrified of the vets. The fact they come to your home is priceless; Loki coped so well with her nail trim, & they were happy to take the time to ensure Loki was happy to continue. The contact before was fantastic, their customer service is top notch! As are their social media posts 🤣 The contact online meant I felt at ease with them immediately as I felt I already knew them. Obviously you want to visit the vets as little as possible, but I know when I do need them, Paws at Home will be amazing and the care that my dogs (and me for that matter) will be faultless. Thank you ever so much! (Loki and Roxy thank Ian for the expert cheese feeding!)Posted on Google Jaqui ChapmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Used liz for the first time today. Our dog had part of her consultation on the lawn in the sunshine...happy as larry! Stress free visit for me and the dog and practical advice. Really listened to the problems our dog has and it feels like a partnership already. Will definately use again. Thanks Liz.Posted on Google Caroline RobinsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Liz was excellent - within a few minutes, my cat was at ease and relaxed enough for Liz to check her over. Having Liz come to the house is just so much better than having to take your pet to a vets, stressing them out and only having a limited time to discuss the problems. Liz didn't rush things, and was clear in her advice and guidance as to next steps. I would thoroughly recommend a home visit - excellent service. Thank you Liz!Posted on Google Philip BakerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Liz is very friendly and helpful and most importantly she was really good with my German shepherd. I will definitely be recommending her to others.
